Features of Quarried black slate and uses
Quarried black slate is a hard-wearing and visually stunning
natural material for the home. We sell black slate in both slabs or tile format. The material offers a wealth of benefits when used as a building material.
Black slate can be installed anywhere in the home, including in tile form for the bathroom, kitchen or hallway floor as well as for external patio areas, sun terraces and doorsteps. It can also be bought in slab form and made into a fireplace, a kitchen surface, a piece of unique furniture, steps, a shelf or indeed a windowsill. It is also a hugely popular traditional option for roofing thanks to its hard-wearing, water resistant nature. Black slate in either tile or slab form can also be installed as a whole or partial wall for a truly statement look.
Black slate is highly durable and also easy to clean, making it a hygienic choice for
kitchens and
bathrooms. Because of its natural origins, each slab of
quarried black slate is completely unique, although the colour of each slab will never change over time, making it unbelievably long lasting. Slate is resistant to water and acid and naturally doesn't degrade over time.
